Tupelo Reading and Rinky Dink Press

February 8th and 9th in Kansas City

 Amy participated in three off-site venues at the American Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) conference in Kansas City on February 8th and 9th. Amy read from her collections at the Tupelo Press reading for poets who participated in their various workshops and for Rinky Dink Press for poets in their “zine” collections. Rinky Dink Press nominated Amy’s poem, “IX. Le Pendu – The Hanged Man for a 2023 Pushcart Prize.”

PAST EVENT

Nebraska Cultural Endowment 25th Anniversary

Amy was delighted to introduce the 24th United States Poet Laureate, Ada Limón, as the featured speaker at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment at the Holland Center in Omaha, NE.

Over 700 people attended this wonderful reading and a question and answer session with Nebraska State Poet, Matt Mason and Amelia Escalante, the Nebraska Poetry Out Loud Champion. Ada was Amy’s advisor in her MFA program at Queens University in Charlotte, NC.
